📐 Flat mounting & Starlink app orientation warnings
This adaptor is designed to mount the Starlink Mini flat. It does not add a 20 degree mounting angle.
The Starlink app may show an orientation or alignment warning because the terminal is not sitting at the app’s preferred angle. In real-world use, that does not automatically mean the Starlink Mini is installed incorrectly or performing poorly.
- Starlink Mini electronically steers its connection to the satellite network.
- A flat-mounted Starlink Mini can still perform normally when it has a clear view of the sky.
- The most important factor is avoiding obstructions, not matching a specific visual angle in the app.
- If your Starlink speeds and stability are good, the app warning can usually be treated as guidance rather than a fault.
